NEW LIFE (IRCA), IMPHAL WEST DISTRICT

New Life, IRCA, Imphal as the first and pioneer Drug rehabilitation centre in Manipur has been working successfully since 1980 and from the year 2000 under the sponsorship of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, New Delhi.

Our dream is creation of an addiction free society. To translate it into reality, we employ awareness programs, de-addiction treatment facilities and comprehensive rehabilitation programs. The centre works towards in creating social awareness to fight against the evils of alcohol and chemical substances by giving health care. Detoxification, Individual counseling, Group counseling, Input sessions, Family re- integration. Group therapy, Recreation etc, during rehabilitation period and followed by After-care services for maintaining close contact with individuals and the family so as to prevent from relapse by encouraging forming a Self Help Group under the principles of Narcotics Anonymous (N.A).

Special mention may be made regarding the school awareness program that our centre has started in association with the Manipur University of Culture for sensitizing the school children and colleges basically the young generations as it is at this age that they are the most vulnerable and they easily fall victim to peer pressures and curiosity.

New Life IRCA (Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts) has so far covered 40 schools in and around Imphal area and special attention has been given to the vulnerable places like Lilong and Kshetrigao etc. We further look up to take up more awareness program in the future as we fill that raising awareness and sensitizing them will help them in the long run the stay away from drugs and lead a happy and productive life.

OUR COMMITMENT

Our primary objective is the evolution of a spontaneous treatment module in tune with our culture and human values, based on actual life experiences.

The centre is committed to Interdependence, self-discipline, creativity and mutual respect towards the client and staffs alike.

The program has multi-disciplinary, medically guided approach that heals the person, not just the problem. We infuse confidence in the patient and help them understand that they can live a healthy and disciplined life without addiction. The patient is put through an intensive schedule including Yoga, Meditation, Therapy Classes, Daily Moral Inventory, Management of Feelings, Group/ Individual Counselling, 12-step Work, In-house AA / NA Meetings and Recreation. Regular updates are provided to the patient's family .

We extend total support and assistance to achieve rehabilitation of every individual and his family to the path of addiction free life. We maintain the professional ethics - extending the best of every possible support towards the achievement of this goal.
